Who Our Female Quran Teachers Teach
Every woman and girl who studies with us is taught by a female teacher. Our female teachers also teach young boys aged 5 to 10. They don’t teach older boys or men.
Women and Sisters
Many women who contact us learnt to read the Quran as children and now want to fix their recitation. Others are starting with the Arabic letters for the first time. Both are welcome, at any age.
Each class is just you and your teacher, so you can read, make mistakes and ask questions without anyone else listening. Complete beginners start with Iqra classes for beginners. Women who can already read work on their Tajweed and fluency.
“I had read the Quran before, but I was not confident about my Tajweed. As a school teacher, it was difficult for me to attend a madrasa in person, so learning online was a great option for me. I’m now learning the Iqra Book with a female Hafiza teacher, and it is helping me improve my Quran recitation step by step.”
Aqilah, Singapore
Girls
Girls can start from the age of 5. The teacher works at your daughter’s pace, usually beginning with Iqra or Quran reading, and many girls later go on to Tajweed or Hifz. Mothers are welcome to watch the class or sit next to their daughter while she learns.
“My daughter is 7 years old, and the madrasa near our home is quite far, so I was looking for a female teacher who could teach her Quran with Tajweed online. While searching, I came across Quran Classes Singapore. I saw that they offer online classes for children and also have female teachers. It was really helpful for me because now my daughter can learn Quran from home. She is now taking online Quran classes with a female Hafiza teacher and learning with Tajweed.”

Boys Aged 5 to 10
Some parents prefer a female teacher for a young son, especially when he is just learning his letters. Our female teachers teach boys from 5 to 10 years old, from Iqra through to reading the Quran. Older boys continue with one of our male Hafiz teachers.
Meet Our Female Quran Teachers
All five teachers are Hafiza: each has memorised the whole Quran and holds an Ijazah with sanad. All five are taking new students, and you can ask for a particular teacher when you contact us.

How an Online Class with a Female Teacher Works

Each class is a live video call between the teacher and one student. The teacher reads, the student repeats, and the teacher listens and corrects the pronunciation straight away. Learning the Quran directly from a teacher like this is called talaqqi.
With young children, the teacher often shares slides of letters and words on screen, like the Tanween lesson in the picture. Every student receives regular progress updates, so you can see how things are going.
What You Need
A phone, tablet or laptop with a microphone, a steady internet connection, and your Quran or Iqra book. Classes run on Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, whichever you already use.
How We Match You with a Teacher
When you message us, tell us who will be learning, their age and level, what they want to learn and the times that suit you. We then pair you with a female teacher, who checks the student’s level in the first free class. If you already have a teacher in mind, just tell us.
