Why Was Quran Classes Singapore Started?

Quran Classes Singapore was started to make Quran learning accessible, consistent and personal enough to fit into the everyday life of Singapore families.

While teaching students in Singapore from 2017, Hafiz Muhammad Abid saw that many children and adults wanted to learn the Quran properly, but ordinary routines kept getting in the way. Online classes offered a practical answer: no travel, flexible timings and a teacher focused on one student at a time. For us, online learning was never the goal in itself. It is the means that helps families keep Quran learning going week after week.

The Challenges We Set Out to Solve

Busy family schedules

School, homework and activities fill a child’s week, and parents have work. Finding a regular time for Quran class is hard.

Travel and fixed timings

Travelling to a class at the same fixed time every week is difficult to keep up, so many students stop before they become fluent.

Every student learns differently

One student needs more time on Tajweed, another on pronunciation or fluency, and another on the confidence to read aloud.

Adults face the same problem

Adults who want to learn or improve their recitation often have work and family commitments that leave little room for fixed classes.

Our Teaching Philosophy

We adapt every lesson to the student’s level, pace and needs. These principles guide how our teachers work:

Individual attention

Every class is live and one-to-one, so the teacher can listen closely and correct mistakes as they happen.

Correct pronunciation and Tajweed

Students learn to pronounce each letter correctly and apply the rules of Tajweed from the start.

Patient teaching

Beginners, young children and adults returning to the Quran are taught calmly and without pressure.

Regular practice

Short 30-minute classes, 2 to 5 days a week, help students build a steady habit of reading the Quran.

Confidence in recitation

The aim is for each student to read the Quran on their own, clearly and with confidence.

Learning that fits family life

Classes take place at home, at times the family chooses in Singapore time.
